The brown coal mine is situated in village Sebedrazie close to Prievidza city. You can park just in front of the main entrance building.
After short information about the coal deposit we were taken into the room where were hooks hanging from ceiling. It was little bit scary. But we found out that they are only for clothes. We put on our working clothes given to us according numbers. Battery check and lets go. We start our underground journey with small train. We traveled more than 2 km (about 25 min) in complete darkness. But you can use your battery lamp if you like.
Than you walk more than 500 m. and you are in 80 m depth. There are plenty of equipments in particular rooms.
This is the only mine museum in Slovakia, which is situated in still ongoing mine.

The guidance is only in Slovak. We were there with my French ex-colleagues, so we brought our own interpreters. The museum declares they can manage the interpreters. (I can not confirm).
