Slovak castle Branc ruins

Slovak castle Branc is situated in the west part of Slovakia close to the city of Myjava or Senica in small village Podbranc. The castle was built in 13th century.

The castle belongs to more than 40 owners during the time. The last one in 16 century.

The last owner from Nyary family left the castle and moved to manor house in village Sobotište. 

In the castle area is situated small monument dedicated to priests who were killed there between years 1674 and 1675.

Not far from the castle is situated burial mound of M.R.Stefanik.

Access:

It is possible to park the car almost under the fortification on the street. Than you will just walk few meters.

Free.

Students                     0,50 Eur

Retired                       0,30 Eur
