Slovak castle Filakovo is situated in southern part of Slovakia. Right above small city Filakovo. The only reconstructed part called Bebek´s tower is used as a permanent museum of castle history. From the top of the tower is nice view.
Castle was first time mentioned in 13th century as well as other Slovak castles. The purpose was to protect the country against Turkish attacks. The castle was unfortunately destroyed in 1682. In last years it was conserved and the museum was established.
We recommend parking the car on the main square in Filakovo. From there it takes only few minutes to reach the entry gate of castle ruins.
