Slovak castle Pusty hrad is situated on a place which has been settled since late Stone Age. Also during Bronze age up to the medieval times and end of 17. century. During the archeological survey has been found many artifacts.
The castle has two parts: Upper and Lower. It was built in 12. century.
Archeologist found treasure of 71 small silver plates, which were used for the coins. These small plates are proof that there was in 13. and 14 century small forgery workshop.
You can park car in Zvolen city behind the hockey stadium on a place called Pod Haputkou. From there you will follow tourist marking up to the hill.
