Slovak castle Viglas is situated east from Zvolen city. In last years it was completely reconstructed and opened as a hotel The Grand Viglas**** in 2014.
The castle Viglas has been used in the past as a hunter’s residence. It was also used to protect rich mining cities. The castle was destroyed only during World War II and declined up to 2007.
Nowadays the hotel offers guided tours, accommodation, wellness, weddings and company events.
The Viglas castle is accessible from the main road from Zvolen to Lucenec city in village Viglas.
