Slovak city Roznava is situated in south-east part of Slovakia on the edge of National park Slovensky kras. Roznava belonged to the most important mining cities in Slovakia. Mined were precious metals, iron and non-ferrous metals from medieval times till 90th in 20th century.
The main square has a name Square of miners. In the middle of the square is watchtower. You can enter the tower from Monday to Friday from 09:00 till 17:00, Saturday from 10:00 till 14:00.
In surrounding area are many tourist attractions like a Krasna Horka castle (in 2016 still in reconstruction after huge fire), caves Krasnohorska, Domica, Gombasecka or Ochtinska and of course National park Slovensky kras.
